Different ways to show:

Each registering body has a different format for their shows. The different formats are summarized briefly for you below:

GCCF Shows

Exhibitors enter an Open class, and usually up to three miscellaneous classes. Shows are run on the concept of anonymity, so all cats are presented in unmarked pens on show whites, and judged against their respective breed standards.

TICA Shows

TICA Shows consist of "rings, anything from four to twelve, sometimes held over two days. The exhibitor takes their cat to the judging ring and pens it themselves. It's not unusual for Judges to talk to exhibitors as they judge, so not a great deal of anonymity here!

FIFe Shows

Here again usually one class is entered, sometimes there may be miscellaneous classes available. The exhibitor takes their own cat up to the judging table and presents it to the Judge. Exhibitors are free to chat to the Judge and vice versa, but as the Judges are usually from overseas, there is an element of anonymity.
